It's a standard tea ball. I've always used this type for loose leaf tea or infusions. It's well made and seems like it is going to be used for years to come.

Could this be used for coffee, or would the holes in the mesh be too big?
Hello Andrew! Correct, the holes are too large and will let grounds through. But we do have the pour over cone dripper and the ultra fine mesh steeper that can be used for coffee.
