ROASTe Gears Up for the WBC

ROASTe Partners with the World Barista Championship

Ok so it’s now official – ROASTe has partnered up with the World Barista Championship (WBC) and we’re getting ready for the upcoming events in New York, between April 7-10.

So get your party hats ready and pull out your tampers, it’s time to catch up on all that has been going on in the WBC! For the past 12 years, the World Barista Championship has followed over 50 counrtires competing for the title. This year, we’ll be following these competitions along with the WBC and we’re happy to announce that there are already a number of competitions under way, in Kenya and Honduras.

As a tribute to these regions, I’d like to invite you to check out some of the finer selections of Honduran and Kenyan coffee on our site. In fact, I even urge you to rate these coffees – let us know which blends you prefer and which blends you’d be proud to brew again.

Upcoming Barista Competitions

Next week Israel will host their national championship and we’ll be sure to give you the full scoop on how the competitions turned out. And don’t forget, between April 7-10, the Northeast Regional Barista Championship will be held in New York. It’ll be an intense couple of days full of steaming and frothing, brewing and tasting. Here’s hoping the coffee enthusiasts won’t burn out…

Meanwhile, I have a little homework assignment for you. I want you try out a new coffee blend, compare it to what you generally drink, and let us know if it’s worth breaking your habit or if you’re a true brand loyalist!
