Rick Santorum: this single origin's for you

Coffee politicos, can you believe that Rick Santorum won the primaries yesterday in Minnesotta, Missouri and Colorado?

Considering that he and his staffers have probably been drinking road coffee from 7-Elevens and gas stations, maybe this is a time to relish the sweetness of his success with some single origin coffees. Or even estate coffees, which are more rare because they come from specific farms or cooperative.

So what do i recommend?

In one state that Rick Santorum won, Minnesota, there's the amazing roaster Paradise Roasters.   Paradise has more 90+ ratings from Coffee Review than any other roaster.  Two top picks that Rick Santorum and his staffers might want to try are /wp/wp-content/uploads/files/uploads/120208_rick_santorum_roars_ap_328.jpg" width="500" border="10" align="right" height="271" />the complex Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Kochere Micro-Lot and the deep rich Sumatra La Minita Aceh Gold.  Both taste like a million bucks, which is about how much Santorum needs to raise daily if he's going to match Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich for fundraising.

In Colorado, that high mountain air reminds us of some great coffees from some other great mountains.  For instance the most famous mountain for coffee in Sumatra is from the Mandheling region - for instance, Coffee Labs's Sumatra Mandheling.    There's the high mountain mis from Unique Coffee roasters called Cafe Gianni Espresso too.  From Jamaica, there's Blue Mountain Coffee like the kind from Paramount Roasters.     There is also from Ethiopia's mountaineous region of Yirgacheffe a great coffee from Flat Black Coffee.

Missouri that Rick Santorum also won is the Show-Me State for its down to earth honesty.  You can't get more down to earth than a Monsooned Malabar from India like the Malabar Supreme from Josuma Coffee Roasters.  But you can also get a dirge of great coffee in Missouri -- does anyone recommend a great roaster or cafe there?

With the Republican national convetion  a few months, maybe the planners are thinking of how to serve coffee to all those delegates.   It's too easy to serve them bitter acrxid coffee slop.  Considering that they probably want to buy 100% American and  want to help American farmers, wy don't they buy a 100% Hawaiian?  For instance, Kona Earth, Rusty's Hawaiian and Morning Glory Farm are all Hawaiian Farmers selling direct through ROASTe.

Last but not least, you might have heard that Newt Gingrich hasn't even mentioned his loss in those states.  It's as if he has amnesia.  This man needs more coffee.  Coffee is said to reduce the incidence of dementia, alzheimers and other mental issues.  It also increases alertness, although from his combativeness he sees to have enough of that already.

Just note - I'm not picking sides on behalf of ROASTe.  I am however more than willing to supply tons of coffee to any side willing to buy  :-)
