What a difference a day makes!

Okay so yesterday I had made a post about how much that I was underwhelmed by Velton's Bonsai Blend, the coffee had taste flat, boring, a total let down. This was especially case because I had heard so many good things about this blend here on Roaste and elsewhere on the web. But I had taken it to being that I was doing something wrong, perhaps using too much coffee or not using the right temperature of water, something...

Everything was exactly the same, 15 grams same settings came out in a nice 1.5ish ounces in 23ish seconds and a quick pour into some hot water and YUM!

I do not know what it is about waiting for a coffee bean to rest but sometimes as in this case provides wonderful results. Just yesterday when I was pulling this coffee it dull now I get a big chocolate note in the front and lingering hazelnut taste that makes you think someone but some syrup in your coffee. This wasn't a fluke either it was in all of the four Americanos I had this morning.

In a case like this it makes me really happy that coffee can change so dramatically from one day to the next. With that said I can now understand why everyone really likes this blend and hope it keeps being this good over the next few days as I polish it off.
