End-of-the-Summer Cocoa Cappuccino Mousse

Unfortunately, all good things must eventually come to an end, and summer is no exception to this rule. But before the cool autumn weather sets in, try this rich and indulgent cappuccino mousse recipe using strong espresso to kick the flavor up a notch. Indulging in this delicious coffee-flavored mousse is the perfect way to say goodbye to summer.

  • 1 (14-oz.) can of condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons strong espresso
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 2 ½ cups whipped cream

Optional: semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a medium saucepan, combine condensed milk, cocoa powder, butter, and espresso. Cook over low heat until smooth, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Put the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Then, in a large bowl, fold together the mixture with whipped cream. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips to the mousse if desired. Scoop the cappuccino mousse into small dessert bowls, garnish with whipped cream, and enjoy!
