For further exploration:

  • If you prefer metal-filtered coffee, try using a Swiss Gold filter basket instead of a paper filter.
  • A coarse grind coupled with a longer steep time works well, resulting in a clarified press-style cup of coffee.
  • The Clever can also be used as a pourover by placing the device on a mug while adding water.
  • This is a great device for the office, because cleanup only involves removing the filter with the coffee and rinsing out the Clever.
