FANTASTIC FLAVOR!

On a whim after watching a "Guns & Gadgets" YouTube video, I made an impulse decision to buy something from Blackout Coffee. On my phone, New England Limited Edition (Light Roast) was the first thing that popped up, so...a couple of clicks later, it's in my cart and I'm checking out. The bag of whole beans showed up merely a couple days later. Ground it up and used my French press = wow! Waaay better than I expected. In fact, it's downright fantastic. People tend to poo-poo light roasts because they're deceived by the...uh, national, popular coffee chain into thinking "darker roast = stronger". But I prefer Light and Medium roasts so I can judge the actual flavors. This New England Limited Edition hit the spot! Also, I've had a few offerings from the other "black ----- coffee co" that is popular now and I've been less than impressed on more than one occasion. IMHO, that company is mostly marketing hype.
So, I gave New England Limited Edition (light roast) 4-stars only because I personally reserve 5-stars for Ethiopian coffees (specifically Yirgachefe). I'm not a coffee snob, but I know what I like. Additionally, I like Blackout's mission and subtle marketing strategy.
